Morning Social Activities

Dr. Branstetter and the Program Committee are planning a variety of morning social activities.

Wednesday, September 23 -  6:00 AM: Yoga for Head & Neck Health

Class Description: Morning Vinyasa Flow - All Levels
Start your morning grounded, centered, and ready for the day ahead. This all-levels vinyasa class begins with a slow, intentional arrival on the mat before building into a breath-centered flow. We’ll explore strength and stability through held standing postures, release tension and stagnant energy with twists and reconnect to balance through both breath and movement. We’ll close with grounding floor postures and a long, restorative savasana, leaving you clear, focused and refreshed.

Thursday, September 24 - 6:00 AM: Fun Run
It doesn’t matter whether you are a sprinter, a marathoner, or a casual jogger.  The annual Fun Run is for you.  We will leave from the front of the Wyndham Hotel and run through Point State Park to work up an appetite before the Breakfast & Learn session.

Friday, September 25 - 6:00 AM: River Walk
For a slower-paced tour of Pittsburgh’s famous Three Rivers, we will take a walking tour that will take us past the ruins of Fort Duquesne.  You’ll learn the names of the three rivers that surround Pittsburgh’s downtown (but you still won’t be able to spell “Monongahela”).

Saturday, September 26 - 6:00 AM: Incline Trip
Pittsburgh is one of America’s hilliest cities.  We compensate by building funicular inclines up the sides of Mount Washington.  Slide up and down the sides of the hill to get a marvelous view of downtown in the morning. If we have time, we will walk over to the statue of Washington and Guyasuta.

Sunday, September 27 - 6:00 AM: Yoga for Head & Neck Health

Class Description: Morning Vinyasa Flow - All Levels
Start your morning grounded, centered, and ready for the day ahead. This all-levels vinyasa class begins with a slow, intentional arrival on the mat before building into a breath-centered flow. We’ll explore strength and stability through held standing postures, release tension and stagnant energy with twists and reconnect to balance through both breath and movement. We’ll close with grounding floor postures and a long, restorative savasana, leaving you clear, focused and refreshed.

Additional social events and activities will be added, stay tuned!
